“How good and how pleasant it is when ‘God’s people’ dwell together in unity.” Psalm 133:1

Big Picture

Members and friends of Victory Heights Church of Christ, we have made it through so much already and we were hoping to resume a church year that largely resembled our church life pre-COVID. With the emergence of the Delta and Omicron variant and the continued lack of vaccination for children, however, the Health Task Force is unanimously advising a set of health and safety guidelines that will minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission as we gather together in person. These guidelines are grounded in science and will be similar to what many of us experience as we move through the world these days. The Minister along with the Leadership Team has also endorsed these recommendations.

Many of us are eager to return to the kinds of programming and activities we all miss; others of us may be feeling cautious. We are taking a layered approach to safety, with an emphasis on protecting those most vulnerable, in keeping with VHCOC principles 1 and 2. These guidelines are essential to ensure that our programming remains safe. As children of God, our approach to COVID mitigation is an extension of our christian promise one to another. Our adherence to our COVID-19 guidelines is one way that we care for one another. We ask for your full compliance, as well as your kindness in explaining our COVID-19 practices to newcomers and visitors.

Here are our guidelines for the next phase of the life of the church. We will update these as necessary, in response to the shifting pandemic. We will communicate any changes through text, email, in - person, and will keep the current guidelines on the church’s website. As the building reopens, we encourage you to follow and consider these guidelines. These are considerations, not mandates.

This page lists all of the various stages of the required process for church re-opening. Please see our re-opening plans and charts below!
